Privacy Policy

TailorProof helps you tailor your own CV to job postings. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and how you can delete it. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we are
TailorProof is operated by Beyond Edge Curiosity ("we", "us"), based in Texas, USA. Questions about this policy or your data: support@beyondedgecuriosity.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and email address Google shares with us. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider (Amazon Cognito); we never see or store them.
- Your CVs: the files you upload (PDF, Word, text) and the text we extract from them, plus CV text you paste.
- Job postings: job titles, company names and descriptions you enter, and screenshots of postings you upload.
- What the service creates for you: tailored CVs, cover letters, interview preparation, job matches, your profile and main profile (including any edits you make), and the evidence reports behind them.
- Usage records: which features you used, how many AI requests they made and their estimated cost, your plan, and when you were last active. We use these to run the service, enforce plan limits and control costs.
- Payment records: when you buy a pass, Stripe processes your payment. We receive and keep only the plan, amount, date and Stripe's payment reference — never your card number.
- Technical logs: our servers record requests (for example time, address and errors) to keep the service secure and working.
- On your device: the app stores your sign-in session and a few preferences (such as your chosen CV template) in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To provide the service you ask for: read your CV and job postings, tailor your CV, write cover letters and interview preparation, match your experience to jobs, and email files to you when you ask.
- To check every tailored line against your own CV and show you what was removed and why.
- To run your account, apply plan limits, process payments and prevent abuse.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and understand costs.
We do not use your CVs or results to train AI models, and we do not share them with recruiters or employers. Nothing is sent to anyone unless you download or email it yourself.
AI processing
To tailor your CV and write the other documents, the relevant CV text, job posting and screenshots are sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, and — only if OpenAI is unavailable — to Anthropic. Both process the data under their API terms, which do not use API data to train their models by default. They act as our processors and handle your data only to return the answer to us.
Who processes your data for us
- Amazon Web Services (USA): hosting, database, file storage, sign-in (Amazon Cognito) and email (Amazon SES).
- OpenAI and Anthropic (USA): AI processing, as described above.
- Stripe (USA): payments.
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in.
We share your data only with these providers, as needed to run the service, or when the law requires it.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Your data is stored in the United States (AWS, us-east-1). It is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest; file storage is private and never publicly accessible; each account can reach only its own data; and access to our systems is limited to the operator.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
Your account, CVs and results are kept until you delete them. To delete your account and all your data, open Profile → Delete account in the app and type DELETE: your CVs, tailored CVs, cover letters, interview preparation, profiles, usage records and your sign-in are deleted immediately. Saved job-match results are not linked to your account and expire within 30 days; server logs are kept for 30 days. Payment records stay with Stripe, which must keep them by law. You can also email support@beyondedgecuriosity.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your account for you.
Your rights
You can see and edit your data in the app at any time, delete it as described above, and ask us for a copy of it or a correction at support@beyondedgecuriosity.com. Depending on where you live (for example under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have further rights, such as to object to processing or to complain to a regulator. We respond to requests within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Children
TailorProof is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply.
